Rocking Round The World

Global Rock Concerts .

LIVE AID 

13 July 1985 
Was the first global rock concerts ever. Bob Geldof and Midge Ure wanted to help the African children and they organised two concerts . There were two main concerts : in London and in Philadelphia . So Phil Collins performed at both concerts . He sang in London , and after , he flew with supersonic plane , and sang in Philadelphia too ! Live Aid was a great success . 





Live 8 
2 july 2005 
Bob Geldof and Midege Ure organised the Live 8 concert too. This time the tickets were free . On Saturday 2nd July . There were eleven concerts round the world .

Live Earth 
7 July 2007
 Al Gore , an American politician , organised these concerts . He wanted people to think about the problems of climate change . He asked musicians , bands and famous actors to perform at the Live Earth concert . There were concerts in every continent . Millions of people watched them on TV .
