Let's Talk Dirty

The title of this article is "Let's talk dirty" and it's about Italian language for foreign people. With Eurovino's book called "Dirty Italian" , some American can learn swear words and have fun . These are the first words anyone learns in any language ; for example in English we know some important words , like ; "fuck" , "shit" , "hell" ... , and we use these words when we're angry or when we're not thinking . "Vaffanculo" is the first thing any Italian American learns when they're speaking  Italian with their family ; and so "Dirty Italian" is the real language of Italy , but it's also considered like a chic language . Gabrielle Euvino also said that there are some terms that have regional variations and some terms that are universally understood . For example if we are in Rome or in Venice the term "patatina" has different meanings . It can be a vulgar term and can means "pussy" , but in Sicily you can call your daughter a "patatina". Gabrielle Euvino is also the author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Learning Italian" and it's another book to learn the worst terms and some words that are very user-friendly . It's very important for communication.

Selfie

This is a social phenomenon. A selfie is a self-patriot photograph , typically taken with digital camera. Selfies are often shared on social network like "Facebook , Instagram and Twitter". Selfies are also pointed at a mirror. Robert Cornelius in 1839 produced a photograph of himself and it's one of the first photograph of a persons. The usage "selfie" can be traced as far back as 2002 when it appeared in an Australian Internet Forum. Before Facebook become a famous social network , the selfies were common on MySpace. By the end of 2012 , Time magazine considered selfie one of the "top 10 buzzwords" of that year. Today it's very easy to take a photo and share it with a social. Now with these social there is more communication , but there are also some rules to follow; in fact the porn pictures are prohibited , even if some person make them. There are so much types of selfies like :
-The Healthy selfie : designed to show a healthy lifestyle ; go to the gym for example.
-The Validation selfie : to show a new look , like a haircut.
-The Snap Happy selfie : to to do a ten different emotional face in one picture.
-The Empathizer selfie : to take selfie seeks in a doctor's office , at the hospital or at a funeral , for a support from our followers.
-The Duckface selfie : originated by tweens and perfected by the kardashians and consist to make a kiss with our lips. It's the most common among selfies.

-My favorite type of selfie is "The Duckface selfie" because it's very funny but also makes the photo more beautiful to share on social network.

Politically Correct

Politically correct is a language phenomenon .This expression refers to an ideological and cultural respect for all , where you avoid any offense to certain categories of people . According to this orientation , the opinions and judgments should not create inconvenience to people who have different cultures , different sexual orientation , or physical and mental problems .Before this phenomenon was undervalued but now has spread throughout the world.

There are some examples :

Alive : temporarily metabolically abled

poor = financially inept

 perverted = sexually dysfunctional

body odor = non discretionary fragrance

 blind = visually challenged

Fat : horizontally challenged

Ugly : cosmetically different

Prostitutes : sex workers

Bald : hair disadvantaged

Some of the new politically correct words are often criticized for being rather ridiculous. For example, someone who is very short might be described as "vertically challenged".

The main characters are : Homer , Marge and their three children Bart , Lisa and Maggie . It's unrealistic , but shows the reality . The shows high successful since its first appearance in TV in 1987 and many people really like it . I really like it because is funny , even if sometimes is a bit educationally harmful . I recommend this series to people that aren't very superficial . It's very beautiful !

Animal rights ☮

The expression "Animal Rights" refers to the extension of human rights to animal species . It has a moral and legal value . One of the first who made debates of "Animal Rights" was Peter Singer. He said that animals haven't related rights , because these rights are given with general and not individually; and they even haven't absolute rights because these rights are for human but not for animals ; in fact , if an animal kills another animal this isn't a crime . For this reason it would be " Duties of human towards animals" . A Universal declaration of animal right was approved by UNESCO in 1978 . Even some associations try to defend the animals as "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals" (PETA) , or "Association for the defence of animal rights" in Italy . Also have been proclaimed some articles as:
-Every animal has the right to respect and freedom.
-The human can't kill or mistreat an animal.
-The capture techniques need to be changed.
-Every animal has the right to protection and care.

Today many people become vegan or vegetarian to respect and don't kill animals , and this is a step toward civilization !

RAK ♥

A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by a person to cheer up an individual person or people. These acts of kindness are encouraged by various communities .
There are various ideas to make random acts of kindness :
1. Tweet or Facebook message a genuine compliment to three people right now.
2. Don’t write the angry internet comment you’re thinking of writing.
3. Cook a meal or do a load of laundry for a friend who just had a baby or is going through a difficult time.
4. Each time you get a new piece of clothing, donate an old one.
5. Don't interrupt when someone else is speaking.
6. Email or write an old teacher who made a difference in your life.
7. Smile at someone on the street, just because.
8. Forgive someone, and never bring up the issue again.
9. Talk to the shy person who’s sitting by themselves at a party.
10. Let the person behind you at the supermarket checkout with one or two items go ahead of you.
11. Help a mother with her baby stroller.

Palindromes

The palindrome is a sequence of letters that can be read also in reverse. The palindrome is a form linked to linguistic units. The first palindromes were transcribed verbatim in the Middle Ages. According to a legend, the inventor is the poet greek Sotades.
Some examples are:

Don't nod
Dogma: I am God
Never odd or even
Too bad – I hid a boot
Rats live on no evil star
No trace; not one carton
Madam, in Eden I'm Adam
Oozy rat in a sanitary zoo
Lisa Bonet ate no basil

The Romans also invented some palindromes:

  Roma subito motibus amor
In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni

The best known palindrome ever is:

A man, a plan, a canal – Panama!
